Social Media History Videos

This Video is an Illustrated View of Twitter's History

Twitter's history isn't that old, but it is interesting. The social media site has blown up since its creation, and this video gives you a visualization of just how big Twitter has become.

In 2006, the original idea of Twitter was conceptualized, but there were some monumental points in the sites history that allowed it to become what it is today. In March 2007, the exposure at SXSW raised the number of tweets from 20,000 per day to 60,000. By 2008, there were over 100,000,000 tweets per quarter. It's gone on to grow exponentially. The 2014 Academy Awards saw the most retweeted post of all time, with over 3,500,000 retweets.

The site has become the most used social network in the world and shows no signs of slowing down.
