Upside-Down Beer Bottles

The Tsingtao Brewery Bottles Are Better for Drinking 'Bottoms Up'

Knowing that the thin neck and small opening on traditional glass beer bottles often prevents drinkers from quickly chugging a beverage, the Tsingtao Brewery sought to create a new beer bottle design that would properly allow people to enjoy a beverage bottoms up.

Quite simply, the brewery flipped the traditional beer bottle design on its head. By doing this, what used to be the base of the bottle is turned into a drinking glass-sized opening. Since this design comes to an awkward point at the bottom, it does mean that a drinker is not able to set down the bottle—once again assuring that beer is consumed quickly.

This novel design likely won't catch on as a new standard, but it is a fun way to let drinkers do what they do best.
