Lucie Davis is an English fashion student from 'UAL's Central Saint Martins' and has designed an unusual but convenient transportation pass for commuters.
After being assigned a project that required that students create fashion pieces that were "inspired by their most routine activities," the student decided to create acrylic nails that could simultaneously function as a transportation pass. The nails contain an RFID chip that can be found in London's transportation passes, the 'Oyster Card.' By simply touching the scanning device when entering a metro, people wearing the nails can easily walk through.
This fashion project mixes design and technology to create a unique product that is both creative and conveniences the life of the user.
