In honor of Pride Month, the popular fitness chain 'Equinox' debuted an add called 'The LGBTQAlphabet,' which extends inclusivity beyond LGBTQ labels. Designed to show that the gym is a hub and home for members of the LGBTQ community, the ad celebrates 26 different ways that people show love.
The LGBTQAlphabet ad was created by Wieden + Kennedy New York for Equinox and the LGBTQA Community Center in honor of Pride Month. The ad aims to show that the handful of labels captured by the acronym LGBTQ are not nearly enough to express the complex identities of the world's 7 billion people by going through each letter of the alphabet. Each letter is used to represent a different way that people show love and encourage consumers to think in terms of a spectrum and not just clusters.
The beautiful and moving ad goes a step further than other Pride campaigns by expressing the importance of inclusivity for all people, regardless of how they identify.
