Voice-Activated TV Campaigns

Channel 4 Launched 'The Human Test' to Promote Its Humans TV Series

To promote the third season of its sci-fi TV series Humans, Channel 4 launched 'The Human Test' as a way of determining if one is a Synth or a Human.

The creative campaign makes use of Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa and has users answer a series of questions such as: "If a robot can feel, should it be granted human rights?" or "Think of the most memorable dream you’ve ever had. Describe how it felt in one word." After completing the voice-based test, users will then be given a profile that describes the "true essence of their identity."

For more information on their results, Humans fans are directed to a fictional website for a National Synth Detection Unit government department, which also contains the Season 3 trailer for Humans.
