Architect Sarah Waller designed The Doonan Glasshouse, a minimalist home built into the surrounding landscape of Queensland, Australia. Built to be the architect's "dream home" this house was created around three primary elements including a floating white concrete slab, a near flat roof and long expanses of full height making the home seem endless.
The home features clean lines, minimal details and total transparency thanks to oversized windows that expand the length of the home. Inspired by houses created in the 1950s modern movement, the house and landscaping reflect attention to detail in the design of both the interior and exterior. By using a monochromatic color scheme on all of the finishes and styling, The Doonan Glasshouse is pulled together in a chic and modern style.
