Moving Taxi Cab Ads

Live Screens Now Sit Atop Taxis in New York

Bluemap Design upgraded taxi cab ads a few years ago by replacing the plastic designs with a glowing LED display. Now, the ad company has done it again in collaboration with Verifone by putting on animated digital screens on the taxis instead.

The images are clean and crisp, and it's almost like watching a TV zooming past atop a car when the taxis go by. The question is whether or not this type of more fuller length commercials on moving cars is more effective. The concern here would be that passerby would not be able to watch the ads to their full effect, unless the taxis were stuck in a traffic jam. Considering that this is New York, this possibility is extremely likely, which could make these taxi cab ads a success.
