Moovit Users Can Now Track Transit Vehicles on the Map in Real Time

Moovit is implementing a new feature that allows users to follow a transit line’s movements in real-time through the Moovit app. The new feature will operate alongside the Moovit real-time arrival countdown, allowing consumers to plan their commute from start to finish. Users can access the ‘Live Location’ button to watch their bus move and approach their location along the transit line. Riders may also sign up for service notifications for a specific line to know when the tracking data was most recently updated.
“Live Location offers the ability to see transit lines, displayed on the map as icons, move along the map as they progress (or are delayed) along their journey,” Yovav Meydad, Moovit’s chief growth and marketing officer, commented. “The feature is accessible from every Moovit screen where the real-time arrival countdown is available via the Action Bar along the bottom of the screen.”
