Avelo is expanding nonstop service from McKinney National Airport, with Sarasota/Bradenton service starting Dec. 16 and West Palm Beach service starting Dec. 17. The new Florida routes bring the carrier's DTX map to 11 destinations, giving Collin County travelers two more direct options from the local airport.
Each Florida route will run twice a week, while holiday-period Las Vegas service will increase to six weekly flights. Introductory one-way fares begin at $69. The airline's McKinney base will begin operations on Wednesday, Nov. 11, a few weeks before the Florida flights.
At $69, the growing route map makes DTX a more practical starting point for North Texas flyers seeking nonstop access closer to home. Eleven destinations from one local base broadens Avelo's convenience pitch from a niche option to a broader regional schedule.
