The Taste Tree by Mooz is a holiday tree located in the main city square of Hasselt, Belgium. Made of thousands of porcelain plates and cups, the tree pays tribute to the city’s status as the Capital of Taste.

The unconventionally ornate fir measures 9 meters in height and 6 meters in width. The tree is made out of 5,000 porcelain pieces donated by city inhabitants giving the street monument a personalized feel that represents the holiday season’s spirit of giving.

The Taste Tree by Mooz features unique ornamentation inspired by designer Inge Vanluyd and Stefan Vanbergen’s own household items. Encouraging townspeople to donate their forgotten porcelain pieces, the creative duo gives life to objects that would otherwise be forgotten by their owners.
