If walking on a bed of nails is not as painful as it might sound, than surely the T 36 Stool by Paolo Giordano could be quite a comfortable place to repose by comparison. Even though it's made from anodized aluminum and lacquered wood, the bundle of posts that makes up the seat of this piece provides enough of a stable surface to keep the sitter from slipping in.
The T 173 Bench is composed like its single-seater circular counterpart, but its plan is instead the union of three adjoined squares in series. Both pieces are composed of pink-topped silver pillars which vary a great deal in diameter. But despite the quirky visual impression left by the bench and the T 36 Stool by Paolo Giordano, both maintain a clean contemporary aesthetic and a classic cross-sectional symmetry.
