Acer introduced the Acer Swift Air 16 and the Acer Swift Blade 14 at IFA, with both models shedding the "AI" tag that featured on the previous generation. The company also showed an Nvidia Spark–powered mini PC built for AI tasks and agents, so the removal is about naming rather than capability.
The prior lineup included an Acer Swift 16 AI, a name used as recently as May 2026, and that specific suffix no longer appears on the new Swift models. The two new Swift entries keep conventional model naming while the mini PC retains explicit AI hardware designed for agent workloads.
For consumers, cleaner model names make it easier to compare specs without marketing jargon and reduce confusion at purchase time. This choice echoes a practical stance that appending "AI" to product names does not necessarily increase buyer appeal, and it nudges PC marketing toward simpler labels.
