Prime Five Home recently designed a luxurious open-concept home with a number of sustainable features. While eco-friendly design has become more mainstream in recent years, this type of construction has largely been reserved for smaller residences. This home demonstrates how sustainability can be applied to luxury homes as well.
The 4,113 square-foot home is located in a residential part of West Hollywood, California. The home features an open concept layout that lets natural light filter in throughout the home. Beyond the strategic architecture, the home features a number of other sustainable features, such as solar panels and a water capture system. Much of the home is also made from materials salvaged from the residence that used to be located on the property. By upcycling fixtures such as windows, doors and tiles, the architects were able to create an even more eco-friendly home.
