If you want a real change in your living room, not just a couch with a color or fabric but a real noticeable change, have a look at the collection of surreal furniture by Lila Jang.
Hailing from South Korea, Jang creates manipulated and twisted versions of 18th century furniture. Due to her lack of space in her tiny, cramped apartment, she was inspired to make furniture that would fit in tight spots. Her whimsical creations show that she wants to believe in a different form of reality. As Jang says, “My work represents who and where we are as human beings: in the midpoint of that constant struggle between reality and the ideal.”
Taking on an Alice and Wonderland vibe, these creations will make you laugh, and then ponder on their seating efficiency.
