This Three-Wheeler Has a Motorbike Engine For Extra Grunt

The notion of electric three-wheelers typically conjures up images of slowly trundling vehicles that might be useful for grocery shopping runs at best, but Campagna Motors is looking to well and truly demolish that stereotype with the introduction of a high-speed electric three-wheeler designed for people with a need for speed.

The T-Rex, developed as part of a collaboration between Campagna Motors and Zero Motorcycles, comes fitted with a 1200cc motorbike engine that allows it zoom along from a standstill up to 97 km/h in only 4.1 seconds on its way to a jaw-dropping top speed of 225 km/h.

Set to be unveiled to the general public at the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show in late April, the T-Rex brings the grunt and power of motorbike engines into an electric three-wheeler chassis, giving it a fabulous combination of speed and compactness.
