Triumph Motorcycles Unveils Its Highly-Anticipated 'TE-1' Bike

UK-based motorbike manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles has announced the launch of its first-ever all-electric motorcycle dubbed the 'TE-1.' The new bike arrives as a result of an ongoing collaboration between the brand, Williams Advanced Engineering, and WMG at the University of Warwick.
The electric two-wheeler was first revealed in March of last year when the company showcased some early illustrations that were intended to guide the development of the eco-friendly model. Now, what was once an ambitious project has become a reality for the brand as the TE-1 prototype is officially set for live testing.
The bike itself is based on Triumph Motorcycles' popular Street and Speed triple models. However, the engines have been swapped out for a high-end EV powertrain, which is capable of generating 130kW (180hp) -- a truly impressive amount of output considering the motor weighs in at just 22 lbs.
