Sun Country Airlines & Golden Gopher Athletics Team Up

Sun Country Airlines has unveiled its first-ever custom aircraft livery in collaboration with the University of Minnesota's Golden Gopher Athletics. The new design features the school’s maroon and gold colors, as well as the iconic Block This aesthetic approach reflects both the airline’s Minnesota roots and its long-standing connection with Gopher Athletics, which dates back to 2012.

The decorated aircraft will be used for charter flights, including for the Gopher football team’s trip to the Duke’s Mayo Bowl. This custom aircraft livery is a first for Sun Country, which has 43 planes in its fleet. The design has the potential to add a layer of community pride and recognition to the airline’s services. This effort also underscores Sun Country’s focus on building brand loyalty and tapping into regional sports enthusiasm.
