The idea of a sunken kitchen is not one that will readily come to anyone's mind. Yet perhaps there will be some requests after seeing what it can look like. An old apartment in Amsterdam was recently renovated and maintained its original albeit highly unique sunken kitchen design. It ultimately gives the floor a quirky sense of personality, which is great considering how stark and simple the rest of the house is.
Designed by MAMM DESIGN, the sunken kitchen and the rest of the home was renovated on the wish that there was more light and airiness throughout. What makes the sunken kitchen even more amazing, however, is its incorporation of a play area on top of it. It's like an indoor treehouse.
