Student Artwork Marketplaces

ArtStartArt Helps to Support Burgeoning Young Creators in University

There are countless marketplaces, both online and offline, that help consumers to support independent artists but ArtStartArt is setting itself apart as a student artwork platform to support up-and-coming young artists who are still in school.

Alok Marwaha and Erik Culver created ArtStartArt, inspired by Culver's own experience as a graduate from the University of Texas' College of Fine Art who created plenty of original art in school, yet didn't quite know what to do with it. As well as helping to support student artists, ArtStartArt helps to connect consumers to accessible art pieces and a percentage of the sales goes back to the participating universities' fine arts programs.

When it comes to looking for art on the platform, browsers will see that ArtStartArt works with rotating curators to spotlight photography, drawings, sculptures and other pieces priced on average for about $300 to $400.
