The Official Star Wars Tumblr is Another Way to Geek Out Online

Star Wars fans are probably already aware about the official Star Wars account created on Instagram a few weeks ago, but now there's another social media account to geek over — the Star Wars Tumblr.

One of the first posts on the account is a GIF of R2D2 scrolling through a projection of Star Wars memes. With this first post, the blog notes: "We promise there won’t be any cat videos…except maybe a nexu or two."

Content posted on the official Star Wars Tumblr account so far ranges from film posters to behind the scenes photos, comic strips and special effect videos. The newest Star Wars film is not set for release until 2015, which seems like lightyears away, but hopefully scrolling through posts on its Tumblr blog will help to pass the time.
