Sound-Producing Posters

The Sound of Taste Reacts to a Person's Touch

The Sound of Taste is an interactive poster than plays the chords of a piano as people run their fingers over the design. The illustration looks like a number of long tongues or tentacles, each representing various flavors. The graphic designer wanted to create a multi-sensory experience for users and really have people feel the idea of taste.

This interactive campaign was done with Print Tech collective and ad agency Grey London. One of the goals of the projects was to connect the digital world with reality in a way that brings people back into the world instead of deep into the trenches of their smartphones. Although this poster is connected to an app, it constantly reminds people of the physical space that they occupy, and creates beautiful music in the process.
