The Sony LYTIA 901 CMOS Image Sensor Has a 200MP Rating

The Sony LYTIA 901 CMOS image sensor has been announced by the brand as its latest entry into the smartphone photography vertical that's engineered to deliver superior performance on the regular. The image sensor has a 1/1.12-inch size that utilizes the Quad-Quad Bayer Coding (QQBC) layout, while also pairing it with artificial intelligence (AI) remosaicing to incorporate a new feature for smartphone users. The sensor offers multi-mode output support that ranges from 12.5MP to 200MP, while also leveraging pixel binning.

The Sony LYTIA 901 CMOS image sensor is rated to deliver strong performance for video and zooming with up to four-times in-sensor zoom with support for high-frame-rate video capture as well. The sensor has gone into mass production starting this month.
