Manipulated Wood Furniture

SNICKERIET Returns with the Launch of a New Furniture Collection

Swedish studio SNICKERIET has officially returned to the world of furniture design after taking a five-year production break to reveal an all-new collection that centers around pushing the boundaries of wood-making.

The new five-piece collection sees the studio applying its meticulous and experimental design approach to deliver a totally unique cabinet, coffee table, bookcase, stool, and side table. The headlining piece in the collection is the oak cabinet, which features a manipulated wood construction, lending the unit a natural yet machine-made quality.

“We generally reflect our thoughts on how cabinet-making conventions can be challenged and molded into something that excites us at the moment. We always try to capture ideas as bare-bone as possible and strive to minimize any sense of the work is contemporary," said SNICKERIET designer Karl-Johan Hjerling.
