The New Palma Collection of Designs Boasts a Mosaic Design

— March 29, 2025 — Art & Design
Brazilian design firm Palma returns with a special Palma collection of furniture and lighting that boasts a playful twist. It was unveiled at the Collectible Design Fair in Brussels, Belgium. The pieces are made by architect Lorenzo Lo Schiavo and artist Cléo Döbberthin.

The selection beings attention to the firm's progressive and innovative spirit while pushing the notions of conventional design in a playful way. Schiavo explains the design process to Dezeen, noting "Our work is about developing and recreating techniques that interest us, a kind of reinventing of tradition." Döbberthin adds, "We're very open to allowing mistakes in our design process so that our techniques can evolve in different ways, it's a very crafty, make-it-up-as-we-go-along kind of process."
