Striking Wood Furniture Silhouettes

Irish furniture design house Orior has introduced three distinctive new pieces that exemplify the brand's mastery of materiality and sculptural form.

The Rhye Table presents an arresting study in contrasts, with its solid wood construction split vertically and rejoined through precise dovetail joinery. This approach to construction creates a striking visual tension between the two-toned surfaces. Demonstrating exceptional woodworking craftsmanship, the Ithea Chair emerges from a single block of timber, meticulously carved into an elegant arched silhouette that pays subtle homage to the architectural curves found in historic Romanesque religious structures. Completing the Irish furniture design brand's collection is the Beatha Cabinet, which combines substantial proportions with organic softness. This piece features robust, rounded legs and curved panels complemented by doors clad in natural hair-on-hide, which conceal interior compartments adorned with artisanal stone, metal, and wood accents.
