The 'Slice' App Lets Consumers Order from a Variety of Pizzerias

Though today's consumers can order just about any food for delivery, pizza was way ahead of the game in offering delivery services, and the 'Slice' app is putting the Italian cuisine staple back at the forefront with its pizza-specific delivery platform. Rather than offering delivery from any restaurant, Slice focuses on pizza alone, aiming to offer slices from the best local pizzerias.

Because of its hyper-specific nature, the Slice interface is very easy to use. The app shows which pizzerias one can order from within their area and lets users place orders of even just a single slice through it. Users also have the option to place the exact same order they made previously by tapping a button, making it quicker to get a pie.

Slice's choice to focus on pizza isn't just for the love of pie; since pizza has a history as a delivery food option, even the local pizzerias in a small town are likely to offer delivery, whereas other restaurants might not.
