Spotify has taken user suggestions and added a sleep timer option. Currently, the new option is only available on Google Play for Android users. The feature was leaked before its official release. The Sleep Timer works by setting a time for music to stop after the user has fallen asleep.
Android users can access the feature by ensuring they have the latest update to the Spotify app. Then access the 'Now Playing' section. From there, users can go to the 'Overflow' menu, then to the 'Sleep Timer' option. Once in the 'Sleep Timer' screen users can select anywhere from five minutes to one hour for the timer. There is also an option to stop the playback after the current song ends. As of now, there is no information for a sleep timer option for the iPhone.
