EA Games is Bringing Back Popular 'skate' Franchise

The “skate.” game, developed by Full Circle and published by Electronic Arts (EA), marks the return of the popular Skate franchise after a significant hiatus. The game is set to launch in early access in 2025 and will be available as a free-to-play title. Unlike its predecessors, “skate.” will feature a microtransaction-driven live-service model, allowing players to purchase in-game items and enhancements. The game is set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, offering a massively multiplayer environment with various solo skate challenges, multiplayer public events, and private match-style throwdowns.
