AHL Architects decided to create an approachable and serene house in Quảng An, Vietnam. The structure takes quite an interesting stand point in terms of traditional frameworks, infused with contemporary elements. The all-black shingled exterior successfully ties into the neighborhood of the town. A large yard and "a few-decade-year old trees" are preserved and seamlessly integrated into the new residential design. The layout is carefully calculated to strike a good balance between open concept for socializing and closed spaces for privacy.
As the neighbors visited the Hopper House post completion, they offered testimonials of their astonishment. Since the exterior was kept traditionally Vietnamese, the interior of the serene house is riddled with modern motifs, as well as "creative variation and visualization of the very familiar structure."
