The Onewheel+XR is a futuristic self-balancing skateboard that is designed to move forward the technology that was first showcased in the Onewheel, an innovation shared on Kickstarter back in 2014.
Developed by a start-up by the name of Future Motion, the new Onewheel+XR is strikingly different from conventional skateboards in that it features one large wheel located in the middle of the board's platform. This self-balancing skateboard boasts an electric range of up to 29 kilometers thanks to the inclusion of ultra-efficient lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide battery cells. The skateboard also features other bells and whistles such as a companion smartphone app that lets riders record and share their rides.
Available for pre-order for a price of $1,799, the Onewheel+XR is positioning itself as a high-end electric skateboard that offers a different sensation in personal transportation.
