Sculpture Studio's Facade Features a Unique Material Composition

At first glance, Sculpture Studio looks like any other industrial workplace. It appears to have a relatively nondescript corrugated aluminum covering with a humble, prefab shape. However, on closer inspection, one will see that the building actually uses a unique material structure to offer a completely different take on that neutral design.

The exterior walls of Sculpture Studio are indeed corrugated metal, but rather than solid plates, the facade is perforated with tiny holes that give it a translucent look. During the evening, the translucence is even more apparent, as the light from the inside of the building shines through.

Sculpture Studio is a building on the University of Arkansas' campus, providing a space for students and professors in the Art Department to ply their crafts.
