Vintage Motorcycle Rebranding

This Royal Enfield Logo Modernizes the Motorcycle Company's Brand

The new Royal Enfield logo, designed by Gurgaon, India-based agency Codesign, aims to bring the venerable motorcycle company's brand presence into the 21st century.

Royal Enfield was incorporated in India in 1995, but has a history that dates all the way back to the 1890s with roots in the town of Redditch in the UK. While the British Royal Enfield company closed its shutters in the 1970s, its Indian counterpart continued going strong.

The new Royal Enfield logo retains some of the lettering elements of the previous logo, while taking it a couple of steps forward. The letters 'R' and 'O' in the word 'Royal' are elegantly joined, while the overall look of the typeface is elegant yet masculine enough for a motorcycle company.
