Rolls-Royce paves a way for what could be a massive finding in the real of eco-friendly aviation as it works with easyJet to design a new converted Rolls-Royce AE 2100. It may be the first run of a modern design aero engine that is fuelled by hydrogen. The power is created from a fusion of wind and tidal energy, which is gathered from the test facility on Eday in the Orkney Islands within the UK.
According to Rolls-Royce, the company noted that the achievement marks “a major milestone towards proving that hydrogen could be a zero carbon aviation fuel of the future,” which the two forces have already set out plans to roll out the second series of tests.
