This Religious Chapel is Transformed into a Psychadelic Sport Arena
M — December 16, 2015 — Art & Design
The Spanish religious chapel Kaos Temple was converted into a technicolor skatepark, and the location recently underwent a lengthly colorful redesign thanks to local creative and street artist Okuda San Miguel and Red Bull. The collaborative effort bright to live the skatepark with geometric designs of animals, people and skulls with surrealist imagery and themes making use of the church's original arched ceilings.
The Kaos Temple skate park offers a blend of modern sport with Renaissance architecture that is preserved from the original shape of the church in the elongated walls, high ceilings and elegant arched shapes. Miguel further accents the space with isometric painted artwork that captures the whimsy of the imagination and dreaming with the theme of perusing ones goals. The illustrations feature prismatic use of color along with surrealist depictions of life.
