Ella's Kitchen is a pioneer brand in healthy baby food and have now begun to pioneer a recycling initiative to address the issue of the brand's pouch packaging not being collected by most localities.
Titled Ellacycle, the new program from the UK-based baby food company and recycling organization Terracycle will feature collection points in public places such as nurseries and retailers that carry the products.
While pouch packaging for baby food is increasingly popular, Ella's Kitchen is one of the first brands to recognize the need for a purpose-driven recycling initiative given that many items sold in such packaging are likely to be ending up in landfills.
For every 100 pouches returned, Ella's Kitchen will donate 2 Pence per pouch to the charity or nursery indicated on the collection bin.
