Oatburst is Now Packaged in the Greiner K3 r100 Solution

Symington's has announced it has shifted its Oatburst instant porridge brand to the Greiner K3 r100 self-separating cup packaging solution in a bid to give the product a more eco-friendly profile.

The packaging update can be observed across the brand's 57-gram serving and will make the product much more recyclable without requiring any work to be done on the consumer side. The packaging solution is rated to separate itself before it reaches the near-infrared detection (NIR) system at a recycling facility, which will allow for elevated levels of proper detection, sorting and ultimately recycling.

Symington Finance Director Julian Wetton spoke on the adoption of the Greiner K3 r100 packaging for the Oatburst range saying, "Oatburst is ideal for people on the go, so we are delighted that however consumers dispose of the empty container when they have finished enjoying their instant porridge snack, the two packaging materials will self-separate to enable recycling during the waste disposal process."
