American fast food restaurant chain Long John Silver's is set to install some of the most technologically advanced digital QSR drive-thru platforms in the restaurant industry, with the goal of ultimately introducing consumers to a fully automated drive-thru.
Over the next few years, hundreds of Long John Silver's flagship locations will be transformed with sets of three 55-inch HD video screens, high-definition audio and a computer platform that will dramatically streamline the ordering process.
Customers will be able to look forward to animated graphics and digital menus that can quickly be updated to reflect promotional offerings. With the flexibility that this new menu system will allow, Long John Silver's plans to tie its limited-time promotions to historical sales patterns, special events and even the local weather.
