The Pure Cool is a purifier fan, developed by Dyson, that uses the company's proprietary Air Multiplier technology, which is designed to capture extremely fine particles that are a major component of air pollution.
While the term 'air pollution' usually conjures up images of carbon monoxide gas or large, obvious solid pollutants like soot, microscopic particles suspended in the atmosphere are among the most common and severe hazards. This fan has a filter consisting of borosilicate microfibers set in a so-called 'bird's nest' design to provide a larger surface area that similarly sized filters.
The Pure Cool is expected to make a splash in the Asian market, particularly in China where air pollution is a huge problem.
