Compact Jet-Inspired Purifiers

Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact Borrows Tech from Jet Engines

The Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact borrows tech from jet engines for airflow by using an aerospace-inspired star-shaped nozzle and internal aerodynamics to project purified air at high velocity while maintaining quiet operation. Departing from Dyson’s traditional loop or cone purifier designs, the HushJet model draws on jet engine principles to accelerate airflow efficiently through its compact form, enabling whole-room circulation in spaces up to about 203 square feet without sacrificing noise control.

The purifier incorporates an electrostatic HEPA filter that captures up to 99.97 percent of particles as small as 0.3 microns, including allergens such as pollen, dust and pet dander, while an activated carbon layer helps reduce odours. Dyson engineers also refined the design so that turbulence and sound waves are reduced as air moves through the star nozzle, resulting in ultra-quiet performance that can run at around 24 decibels in sleep mode
