Meatless Protein Pizza Toppings

Dr. Praeger’s Launched Pepperoni, Sausage & Chicken Alternatives

Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods is venturing into the pizza category with the launch of three plant-based protein pizza toppings for foodservice. The Meatless Pepperoni Slices, Meatless Sausage Toppings and Chick’n Strips are vegan, cholesterol-free and kosher certified, and they offer better-for-you alternatives to their meaty counterparts.

While the Meatless Pepperoni Slices boast "43% fewer calories, 81% less fat and 59% less sodium than the average pepperoni," the Meatless Sausage Topping and Chick’n Strips also offer the benefit of more protein.

While there are plenty of plant-based pizzas that can be enjoyed with creative vegetable combinations, these meatless options help to enhance the choices available to consumers who are choosing to explore meatless options for various reasons—especially as interest in plant-based eating rises during Veganuary.
