Expansive Office Buildings

MVA/Mikelić Vreš Arhitekti Designed a Production and Office Building

Zagreb-based architectural practice MVA / Mikelić Vreš Arhitekti has completed a production and office building in Dubrovčan, a village northwest of Zagreb. The site was originally used as a construction-waste landfill that was remediated and revived to create a new topography with three mounds defining the central space and pedestrian access paths.

The design of the production and office building consists of a single-story, square-plan volume with a central circular atrium. The main structure is positioned on the three greened mounds, with technical, production, and shared spaces arranged within the mounds themselves and oriented toward the pedestrian path that connects them. The interior is organized as a dynamic, horizontal working environment with offices of different types arranged along the outer facade.

A spiral staircase connects this area to a small rooftop pavilion, terrace, and running track.
