Klopf Architecture updated the pool deck of a renovated mid-century home located in Los Gatos, California, turning it into a multi-purposed "outdoor oasis." The 'Pool House,' features a shady outdoor work area, lounging space and change rooms.
The architects opted for a simple design and material palette, both of which were chosen specifically to correlate with the home's existing aesthetic. The pool house, which is comprised of a cedar body and Ipe wood decking, also relates well to the surrounding landscape, most notably the redwood trees.
A mini-kitchen lies inside the structure, allowing residents to whip up poolside snacks and drinks at their convenience. Shade and snacks, what more could anyone possibly ask for?
