Seaside Home Renovation

The Newly Updated Casa De Praia Shapes a Warm Coastal Interior

Casa de Praia was redesigned by Holzrausch as a contemporary Mallorca holiday home that merges mid-century Brazilian and Mexican influences. The project preserves the existing two-level structure and original pine beams while introducing teak cabinetry, new plaster surfaces, and warm wood paneling to unify the interior.

A standout feature is the vivid kitchen, which pairs a tropical wooden island with saturated pink and yellow tones to establish the home’s expressive color direction. The studio balanced these bold elements with textured materials, indirect lighting, and refined furnishings to keep the overall atmosphere relaxed.

The renovation extends to bathrooms featuring terrazzo sinks and patterned tilework chosen to add depth and character. Sliding glass doors open to a deck and pool overlooking the surrounding landscape, reinforcing the connection between interior spaces and outdoor views. The design emphasizes material continuity and functional planning across the entire villa.
