Claesson Koivisto Rune developed the 'Alicia' sofa system as a plush outdoor seating option to create a rich "socializing landscape."
Outdoor furniture pieces often boast simple, sturdy frames that are topped with cushions, but they rarely offer the same level of comfort as one's indoor furnishings. Alicia differs by offering plush cushions and a bow-shaped backrest that promises to enhances outdoor spaces with the look of high-end living room furnishings.
In contrast to the soft elements of the seating system, Claesson Koivisto Rune integrated hard tabletop surfaces into the design of the sofa. As well as offering just enough space to sit a drink, this design detail makes it all the more possible to configure the seating units in a number of ways that best fit one's available outdoor space.
