UNO Created a Plastic-Free Card Deck with Shepard Fairey

— August 7, 2021 — Eco
UNO is celebrating a series of artists with special card decks and its latest creation with street artist Shepard Fairey is the first plastic-free card deck of the bunch. Made with sustainable, recycled and recyclable materials, this card game supports the brand's vision to reach the use of "100% recycled, recyclable or bio-based plastic materials across all products and packaging by 2030."

On social media, Mattel is giving away 10 signed copies of the plastic-free UNO card decks. Additionally, a donation is being made by UNO to support the ocean protection nonprofit Ocean Conservancy on Fairey's behalf.

The deck from the Artiste Series features a famous work of art by Fairey and a bold street art style. Unlike other decks, this one has no plastic trays or cellophane wrapping and the cards showcase environmentally designed themes.
