It's been a few years since Burger King added the Impossible Whopper to its menu, much to the delight of plant-based eaters—and now, a fully plant-based Burger King is opening for a limited time in Germany. The first-of-its-kind fast food restaurant is being opened with the aid of Dutch brand The Vegetarian Butcher.
From June 7th to 11th, people in Cologne, Germany, will have the opportunity to experience a limited run of the newest vegan menu item, the Long Chicken Patty. This breaded plant-based chicken sandwich comes topped with vegan mayonnaise and shredded lettuce on a sesame seed bun. To kick off the opening of the plant-based fast food restaurant, Burger King is hosting an event where guests can meet and mingle with some of the heads of Burger King Germany.
