Plant-Based Chicken Sandwiches

Burger King is Testing the 'Impossible Original Chick’n Sandwich'

Fast-casual restaurant chain Burger King is officially testing out a new plant-based chicken sandwich menu item in the United States called the 'Impossible Original Chick’n Sandwich.' The item is meant to replicate Burger King's Original Chicken Sandwich, offering customers a meat-free alternative to the fan-favorite menu item.

The new sandwich will consist of a plant-based chicken patty supplied by Impossible Foods, a leading meat alternatives company. Aside from the meatless patty, the sandwich will contain the same toppings as its real chicken counterpart, including shredded lettuce and mayonnaise.

The new 'Impossible Original Chick’n Sandwich' is not the first time Burger King and Impossible Foods have teamed up. In 2019, the two companies joined forces to create a completely plant-based version of Burger King's most iconic menu item: The Whopper.
