Burger King is Testing Out a New Philly Chicken Sandwich

Burger King is looking to inject the taste of Philly into its menu with the launch of the new Philly Chicken Sandwich.
Currently being tested at select locations, the new Philly Chicken Sandwich offers a Philadelphia-inspired twist on the brand's signature chicken sandwich. The new sandwich essentially tried to mimic the authentic Philly cheesesteak experience by pairing a crispy white meat breast fillet with Provolone cheese, red and green bell peppers, grilled onions, and BK’s Royal Sauce.
If this new sandwich sound surprisingly familiar, that's because it is. Back in 2013. Burger King offered a very similar Philly Original Chicken Sandwich, which paired a lightly breaded chicken fillet with grilled onions, bell peppers, American cheese, and creamy cheese sauce. The biggest difference is that this previous sandwich was served on a long, sesame seed bun.
