Panera Bread is not only known for its delicious product range but is also recognized for its charitable efforts -- most notably its Pink Ribbon Bagel campaign that will celebrate its 14th anniversary this October.
Launching on October 1st, the charitable campaign will celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month and aims to raise funds for cancer research. Rather than offering the traditional pink ribbon, Panera Bread creates edible breast cancer ribbons that are presented in bagel form.
The eatery's popular Pink Ribbon Bagel campaign was first launched in 2001 by Panera franchise owner Sue Stees who is a breast cancer survivor herself. The casual restaurant's ribbon-shaped bagels are infused with dried berry, vanilla, honey and brown sugar flavors and is also topped with cherry chips.
