Moment Installs Flymingo Box Streaming on Eight Aircraft

Moment brought wireless in-flight entertainment to eight aircraft at Air Caraïbes and Atlantic Airways, giving passengers on Caribbean and North Atlantic routes video and audio on their own devices. Its ‘Flymingo Box’ hardware now runs on four ATR 72s and four Airbus A320s, allowing the airlines to offer onboard viewing without seatback screens.

Air Caraïbes uses a battery-powered version on its regional network, where the airline added streaming entertainment to its ATR fleet for the first time via the ‘iZi Vision’ portal. Atlantic Airways uses an aircraft-powered unit with ‘Atlantic Connect,’ offering programming in five languages, including Faroese and English, for its European passengers.

Moment shows how battery-powered streaming boxes can reduce the cabin work associated with built-in screens, which suits short inter-island flights, while using the same Flymingo Box product on turboprops and A320s broadens its pitch to airlines with mixed fleets.

Wireless Cabin Streaming
Portable onboard servers create lower-cost entertainment models by shifting viewing to passenger-owned devices instead of embedded seatback systems.
Battery-powered Avionics
Self-contained hardware expands digital cabin services on regional aircraft where retrofits, wiring, and downtime are costly barriers.
Multilingual Passenger Portals
Localized content platforms strengthen route-specific engagement by tailoring entertainment access to mixed-language traveler bases.

Where This Applies

Airline Technology
Wireless entertainment infrastructure gives carriers a scalable way to modernize cabins across varied aircraft types without full interior redesigns.
Regional Aviation
Short-haul and island-route operators gain new passenger experience features through lightweight systems suited to smaller aircraft and frequent rotations.
In-flight Entertainment
Device-based media delivery reshapes the sector by reducing dependence on fixed screens and enabling more flexible content deployment.
